- Active and Inactive Nursing Homes are included in the database.

- You may enter the name you are searching in any order. For example, Carrington Dartmouth Nursing Home can be entered as Dartmouth Carrington Nursing Home, etc.

- You do not have to enter the entire name to search. If you chose, you can enter the first word in the title of the nursing home.

- Do not enter partial characters. For example, if you are searching a nursing home with the name of Carrington Dartmouth Nursing Home, do not enter Carr. There is NO expansion on the terms.

- Similar names (including nicknames & spelling variations) will be searched automatically for common names. For example, Corp is a similar name for Corporate. You can enter either term to find matches.

- When searching hyphenated names, either enter the hyphen in the appropriate place or enter the two names without a space.

- Only one state may be searched at a time. Select a state from the drop-down.

- You may enter information in all the fields or in the following combinations: Name & State, City & State, City & Zip, or State & Zip.

- When entering a city name, common names for cities will be searched for spelling variations and abbreviations. For example, you may enter Ft. Lauderdale and it will automatically search for records with Ft. Lauderdale or Fort Lauderdale. Only the city name should be entered in this field.

- You do not have to enter periods or commas. Periods and commas are stripped from a search when entered.
