With more than 25 million filings registered with official county and state filing offices throughout the United States, the database allows users to determine if companies are operating under fictitious business names.
	Use the FBN database to: Obtain general information about a business or owner. Locate information on small business that otherwise might be hard to find. Determine the ownership of a company. Search by an owner name to discover business names affiliations. Often property or other assets could be recorded in these names.
	The following information MAY be available when searching the FBN database: Owner name and address. Business name and address. Filing date. Filing number. Filing location.
