- You may enter the name you are searching in any order. For example, a name like Alex Brown, can be entered as Alex Brown or Brown Alex.

- You may enter information in any of the fields in any combination. Enter information in one or more fields provided.

- The search will look for expanded versions of the name. For example, a search on Will Hunter will retrieve matches for William Hunter or Hunter William.

- You do not have to enter a last name and first name. If you choose, you may enter a last name only; but be aware of the large amount of search results that may be returned.

- Middle initials may be included in the name. If you have a middle initial, it can be entered with the name in any order. For example, Alex W Brown can be entered as Alex W Brown or Brown Alex W or W Alex Brown.

- You can search by suffix or titles. (i.e. JR, SR, III, etc.) For example, Alex Brown III could be searched and you will only find matches with Alex Brown III in your results.

- Enter a city name, if you wish to narrow your search. Only the city name should be entered in the "city" query box. Do not enter a state name in this query box. Common names for cities will be searched for spelling variations and abbreviations. For example, you may enter Ft. Lauderdale and it will automatically search for records with Ft. Lauderdale or Fort Lauderdale.

- To look up females, it may be necessary to use initials instead of the entire name, since this is a common way that many females are listed in directories. (For example: when searching for Alexandra Brown, you may just want to enter A Brown).

- You do not have to enter any punctuation. (Punctuation is stripped from a search if it is entered).

- Your results will be sorted alphabetically by state if you chose to search "All-States". At this time, there is no additional sort order. Scroll through the results to find the individual you are trying to locate. (Try different variations of the name by using modify search link at the top of the page if you are having difficulty in finding the individual on your first attempt).

- A total of 25 matches will be shown on a page. To view matches beyond 25, use the "Next" and "Previous" links on each page.
